The Cheriton Bishop Surgery and Dispensary are open 8am –
A note from the Surgery
We thought it would be important to set out the way we hope to continue to provide accessible, high quality, valued health care. It has been a turbulent and difficult few years, and we had to alter our practice to deal with the Covid crisis. In the aftermath, as we learn to live with Covid, and with an increasing demand, we need to reset how we can provide primary health care in a safe and timely manner.
We are aware patients have valued the walk-in service which allowed people to be seen if they were unwell and felt they should be seen on the same day. We can’t really revert to this, in part, as crowded waiting rooms are not appropriate, and due to the lack of car parking space following the fire in the village hall. We aim to provide a virtual walk-in to ensure same day access if that is felt to be necessary. In a similar time to before we would ask you to contact the surgery by sending in a request before 10.30am. This can be done via our website, the NHS App or if no internet access, by phone.
The duty doctor will then assess and either arrange a review, contact you remotely, or initiate appropriate treatment.
Please also note that the Dispensary is closed Mon to Fri between 1pm – 3pm so please collect prescriptions outside of the times.
